| John Bercow, the speaker, says he is calling four amendments, plus an amendment to an amendment.
They are:
1) Sarah Wollaston’s - calling for an extension to article 50 to allow for time for a referendum on Brexit.
2) Hilary Benn’s - saying next Wednesday should be set aside for a debate that would start the process of allowing MPs to hold indicative votes on Brexit alternatives. There is also an amendment to this amendment, from Labour’s Lucy Powell, changing the timing.
3) Labour’s - saying article 50 should be extended to allow time for MPs to find a majority for a different approach to Brexit.
4) Chris Bryant’s - saying Theresa May should not be allowed to put her deal to the Commons again.

Irin Sylvia Hermon “wat about northern Ireland, there is more than Scottland?!“. Schottland Schottland Schottland, E of U!

MPs to vote on second Brexit referendum for first time
| The amendment briefly created a dilemma for Labour’s leadership. The party has said it would support a second referendum amendment to “stop a damaging Tory Brexit”, but there are at least two dozen hostile Labour backbenchers.
Labour sources said that the party would abstain, so killing it off for Thursday. Keir Starmer, the party’s Brexit spokesperson, told the Commons: “We are supportive of the principle, but it’s a question of timing.” | | | Alastair Campbell, a leading figure in the People’s Vote campaign, said it was “wrong to press a people’s vote amendment today when the issue is [article 50] extension”.
Arguing that a second referendum was “a possible solution to the current crisis, not an option within it”, Campbell added there would be more opportunities ahead when other options to solve the Brexit crisis had been exhausted.

/tl,dr: Symbolcharakter first!

| Alongside other leading supporters of a people’s vote, I am abstaining on TIG amendment. This statement alongside other colleagues explains why. We hope that our supporters outside Parliament trust our judgement and trust that we’re doing the right thing for the right reasons.

Das Powell-Amendment zum Benn-Amendment wurde mit 311-314 abgelehnt.
| The Powell amendment is designed to ensure that the process created by the Benn amendment - a debate next Wednesday, on a motion allocating a future day or days for “indicative votes” allowing MPs to find a Brexit alternative - cannot be used beyond the end of June | |
Über das Benn-Amendment wird jetzt gerade abgestimmt.
| Benn: Would allow MPs to take control of the business of the House, a bit like similar amendments attempted to in the past by revoking Standing Order 14. Would give MPs chance to find their own solution to Brexit. Very significant. | | | Standing Order 14: "Save as provided in this order, government business shall have precedence at every sitting..."
Basically means that the government controls parliament's agenda making it hard for non-government bills and motions to be debated by parliament and/or passed.
Revoking SO14 would allow parliament to set its own agenda abd thereby pursue its own interpretation of Brexit. | | | As it stands the government determines everything tabled to the house. This would allow them to amend that to change what the business of the house was. IE they could choose to vote on a peoples vote motion, or revoke article 50 two things the government refuses to have motions for.

No Deal
Den sogenannten „Malthouse-Kompromiss“, den britische Parlamentarier erarbeitet hatten
