selbst in flight transitions waren kein Problem

| In an effort to clear up confusion, we’ve consulted the designer for clarification and have a revised list of hardpoints. The Polaris current planned loadout is set to include:
• 4x S10 Torpedo Launch tubes
• 5x Manned Turrets (Twin S4 Weapons)
• 1x Remote Manned Turret (Twin S5 Weapons)
• 1x Automated Turret (Twin S4 Weapons)
• 2x Anti-Fighter Missile Racks, each carrying 16x S3 Missiles | |

ne, Concepts mal fertigbauen wär eher was
Ich wär zumindest vom Umfang her zufrieden wenn das was bisher angekündigt ist nachher drin ist. Ohne mehr Füsik oder so.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Also ich mag einfedernde fahrwerke

NEIN.
Also was willst bei Star Citizen damit?
|
|

Pfft..

Around the Verse: Episode 3.10 - INN Transcript
|
| TLDR (Too Long; Didn’t Read)
Intro & Other Information
2.6 is shaping up along with work on 3.0 and Squadron 42.
The team was touched by the backers response to the “Road to CitizenCon” video shown during CitizenCon.
Josh Herman got the idea to create the Nomad character and him and Jeremiah Lee worked together to finalise a concept.
James Coo helped make a high poly sculpt for concept and him and Omar finished the model.
Studio Update
Phil Meller is in Los Angeles presenting the Studio Update.
Some UK team members went to LA to help with Citizencon.
Paul Jones and Dan Joustra are here to chat about the Polaris.
It was a highly anticipated ship that fills the role of a Corvette – formerly filled by the Idris.
It is an RSI ship, inspired by Bengal and Connie. Previously RSI ships worked on out-of-house by Ryan Church, now in-house by Dan.
Dan was given the level blockout and had to design the ship to match the brief and RSI style.
Ship was designed to carry a small fighter and be quick and able to deliver a torpedo salvo.
It has a very aggressive style.
Cockpit designed for nice shading, reflections and optimal visibility
Crew is positioned in recessed bunker-style stations.
There are a handful of rooms – hangar, break room, mess room, engineering, habitation, bridge, etc.
There are living quarters for the crew to hang out and shoot some pool.
Torpedo launchers can fire 2x two torpedo salvos at a time.
Ship was worked on by people throughout the company.
Steve Turberfield and Carlos Pia Pueyo are working on revamping the camera system.
Moving from multiple cameras – on foot, on ship, spectator, death, etc – to a single unified camera.
Aiming to get better control and movement in how the camera feels and looks.
They are impressed with the current community work and want to provide more tools so it can get better.
Players will be able to change the lens size and move the camera angle. This can be saved.
You’ll be able to zoom in and out using the camera lens size.
Chris, being a fan of cinematography, wanted the camera to have operator shake.
This means cameras have gentle movement like if they are being held. Will allow more realistic viewpoint.
It might take a bit of time for camera to catch up if the ship decelerates or accelerates quickly.
They want to have the camera react to nearby events – explosions, etc.
Should be easier to fix bugs as system code is unified and all in one area of the code.
Excited to see what the community does with the tools.
Behind the Scenes: Ursa Rover
The Rover design has changed radically to accommodate changes to the metrics over the years.
The Dragonfly is cool, but the Rover is a different sort of cool: it’s the first real ground vehicle.
It can accommodate two people in the front and four people or four cargo units in the back, and it has a turret on the top.
There were challenges for animations and VFX to overcome.
It will behave different on different materials and when on uneven or flat surfaces.
Chris really likes the Dragonfly and the Rover so these will not be the last vehicles.
It will be in 3.0, feedback and cool pictures/videos are important.
Ship Shape: Javelin
Initially the Homestead demo was just to show off the procedural planetary V2 tech, but they decided to take it a step further.
It was a challenge to take a capital ship, crash it, and make it look as if it had been there for years.
Many devs wanted to help work on the project because it was different from their routine and going from pristine ships to making one look rusted and worn out was exciting to them.
Inspiration was taken from Jaku in Star Wars episode 7 along with Mad Max Fury Road and the thunderdome in episode 3 of the originals.
They added a lot of little details that were missed during the presentation, but they added many things to make it seem as if the Nomads made a home for themselves in the Javelin
One of the challenges they’re dealing with now is the Day/Night Cycle as the original CryEngine code made it easier, but with the planets having stars at different distances, the time of day changes between planets.
They’re really happy with the way things turned out and learned a lot from this demo and now have a better understanding of how to damage capital ships in the future.
Behind the Scenes: Homestead Sound
Matteo Cerquone worked on a lot of the sound design for Homestead and focused a lot on the sandstorm.
The sounds around the Javelin are triggered by the intensity of the wind so it gives a natural progression of sounds for lets say, a sandstorm
The goal is to make it so the sounds can be procedurally generated for entire worlds and not have to manually place the sounds in every location as that’s not feasibly possible.
The system used for the sandstorm can be used for more than just wind, it can be for hearing a ship fly by and have it rattle the building just as it did to the Javelin.
Sound design for Star Citizen never gets boring as there’s such a wide range of them to do Matteo says.

Würde auch abwarten, was 2.6 bringt.
