But the way to think about that is ultimately that’s the opportunity for us. I think GeForce is a game console. And the right way to think about that is at an equivalent ASP of some $200 – $300, that’s probably potentially an opportunity ahead for GeForce.

When we think about GeForce, these are the parameters involved. How much of our installed base has upgraded to Pascal? How much of our installed base is growing? How is gaming growing overall? What are the driving dynamics of gaming, whether it’s team sports or MOBA or using games for artistic expression? It’s related to the AAA titles that are coming out. Some years the games are just incredible. Some years the games are less incredible. These days the production quality of the games have just become systematically so good that we’ve had years now of blockbuster hits. So these are really the dimensions of it.
And then it’s overlaid on top of it with some seasonality because people do buy graphics cards and game consoles for Christmas and the holidays, and there are international holidays where people are given money as gifts and they save up the money for a new game console or a new game platform. And so in a lot of ways our business is driven by games, so it’s not unlike the characteristics of the rest of the gaming industry.

GeForce ist halt primär die Consumer/Gaming Serie. Die echten Wachstumsbereiche liegen aber woanders und übertreffen regelmäßig die Erwartungen.
AMD hingegen... naja. Die kämpfen ja gerade mal wieder trotz der soliden Vorlage mit massiv abgestürztem Kurs.

Ich hab mein teilmodulares Netzteil heute ausgebaut, und das war immer noch ganz schön nervig. Die Kabel zum Mainboard und zur Graka waren fest, und dementsprechend musste ich erst mal die Stecker wieder losbekommen und die Kabel entfernen.
An den Stecker ganz oben kam ich nicht mal dran, ohne den ganzen CPU-Kühler ab- und auseinander zu bauen.
Mit einem vollmodularen Netzteil wäre der Netzteiltausch vermutlich eine Sache von 5 Minuten gewesen, da die ganzen Kabel hätten drin bleiben können.

Also ich verstehe das ja ehrlichgesagt eher so, dass sie sich von der Preisgestaltung her in Konkurenz einer Spielkonsole her sehen. Ihre Grafikkarten kosten je nach Modell so viel wie eine Spielkonsole, und Leute erwarten davon die gleiche Leistung (Spiele spielen).

8 GB bringen bei dem Anwendungsprofil 0,0 Vorteil gegen 4.
SSD bringt viel (!) flotteres Arbeiten in jedem Anwendungsfall.

Fur gewöhnlich handhabe ich das auch so, aber sind ja die eigenen Eltern da gibt man sich noch Mühe.

Heutzutage hat doch eh jedes Wald- und Wiesennotebook 8 GB RAM, so speziell ist der Wunsch jetzt nicht mehr.

Weil ich meinen PC selber zusammen gesteckt habe, da habe ich bestimmt voll Ahnung das Top Gerät zu finden.
Hab aber mit Laptops nix groß zu tun und keinen gescheiten Überblick.
Wie gesagt sind meine Eltern da geb ich mir noch Mühe.
Anderen hätte ich gesagt: nehmt euer Budget, geht in einen Mediamarkt oder ähnliches und kauft was euch gefällt!
