"After twenty-four years, Godspeed You! Black Emperor have changed their tone. I don’t mean that musically; their seventh LP, G_d’s Pee AT STATE’S END! is as floor-shakingly loud as any other release of theirs, but their tone, the overriding emotion they are trying to convey, has changed."

Evidence for this leak being real:
This rip features newly recorded rips of already leaked tracks (from 2013 and last year) that sound different from the first rips. People have analyzed the spectrograms and they appear like completely different rips and not just copied from those earlier leaks. The spectrograms between the previously leaked songs on the new rip and the new songs seem consistent.
Has evenly balanced side lengths and the noise floor of a home-dubbed tape
Track 26 on here features a recording that's also on "Mouths Trapped in Static" by Set Fire to Flames, a side project from GYBE
The head of the GYBE discord server, who supposedly knows the band members IRL (according to other people. I have no proof of this so take it with a huge grain of salt), confirmed it was real, and banned discussion of it in the discord to supposedly respect the band's wishes. The discord mods then undid this ban but they had to take down their server apparently because the backlash, so we'll probably not get more information from them if they had any.
Another song from this rip was allegedly played on a Montreal radio station giving samples of Montreal's rock scene. I think the recording from this radio station sounds a bit different from the rip too but I also don't even know if this is actually from a radio station
The Dead Flag Blues narrator appears to be on Diminishing Shine
Vocals on the album sound like they're by Efrim and Moya, and there are some guitar parts that hint at the builds GYBE would become known for
It doesn't make much sense for someone to include tracks like "Buried Ton" in their fake GYBE album
From /u/lex_yeeahhh: "Nothing as definitive as any of this but in Buried Ton one of the speakers mentions Understanding Comics by Scott McCloud, which would have just come out a year or so earlier. Also the phone conversation with Efrims Mother (?) at the end of All Angels Gone gels with his bio here where he says "mother left in 1973. / came back briefly 17 years later, / and then left again." 17 years later woulda been 1990. A little early but it still fits the timeline."
Evidence for this leak being fake:
The leaker on 4**** is unable to provide physical proof of the cassette and has a pretty suspicious story, claiming he got it from a "loose" friend in Montreal who just felt like it was the right time to release it. I've heard from other places that a select few people on the GYBE discord had this leak for months and it was leaked to the public out of spite. If that is true, it seems like the leaker's story is made up and that really damages his credibility
There's this weird chipmunked vocal section that people think doesn't rly sound like something they'd do. Also some weird Punk Rock sections in the album too
There is some vocabulary used that people think is suspicious (e.g. calling the Montreal metro the "subway" and using the term "wraparound sunglasses").
Some people also think the effects on some tracks couldn't have been created with the equipment they'd have access to at the time
Some of the spoken vocals sound a bit too modern and frequency-rich compared to other facets of the recording
The silence between tracks is a bit too perfect but that could just be due to how the rip was split up
