Von der DKB.
Früher lief Verified by Visa über ein Passwort, das hat man dann alle halbe Jahre ausgepackt. War nervig, aber noch okay.
Letztens kam die Änderung, dass du einen Sicherheitscode im Onlinebanking generieren musst. Also dort einloggen.
Code gibt es erst, wenn eine TAN eingegeben wurde. PapierTAN wurde ja abgeschafft, also muss das Chipgerät her. Das funktioniert nur mit der EC-Karte.
Der Prozess ist so bekackt, dass ich die KK nur online verwende, wenn es absolut nicht anders geht. Ist mir alles zu sicher geworden.

Das nennt sich starke Kundenauthentifizierung und wird ab September auch Pflicht. Also zumindest wenn deine Bank und der Händler ihren Sitz innerhalb der EU haben. Ist also egal von wem er die VISA hat, du hast das bald bei jeder Karte. Früher konnte der Händler sich noch entscheiden ob er das Risiko selber übernimmt und das dann nicht anbietet, mit der PSD2 wird das aber anders aussehen.
Und ja, der Prozess ist scheiße, hat auch ganz üble Abbruchraten.

Wird der starke Kundenabfuck auch Auswirkungen auf die Handhabung der Karte im Laden haben? Ich habe das Schwurbel-PDF meiner Bank dazu schlichtweg nicht verstanden.

Also ich mache für Verified by Visa einfach meine tan2go App von der DKB auf.
Aber spar einfach dein Bargeld, kauf dir ein iPhone und nutz statt Bargeld ApplePay. \o/
Das ist sehr toll. Und im UK kann man damit tatsächlich überall zahlen. Auch Kleckerbeträge beim Bäcker. Nur Franzbrötchen wird es wohl nicht geben.

Also Bezahlen mit NFC beim Bäcker würde ich schon sehr feiern. Alleine schon, weil die ganzen Fachverkäuferinnnen strunzedumm sind und man jedes Mal sein Rückgeld kontrollieren muss.

| Pessimism over Brexit deal
Just 33% of the public are confident that Prime Minister Johnson will ‘get a good deal for Britain in negotiations with other European Union leaders’, while 64% are not confident. 60% of Conservative supporters have confidence in him.
74% think it is unlikely that the ‘UK and the EU will have agreed the terms of the UK’s departure from the European Union in time for the UK to leave by October 31st’. 23% think a deal is likely.
However, 59% think it is likely that the UK will leave the European Union by October 31st if the UK and the European Union cannot reach an agreement. 38% think this is unlikely and 3% don’t know.
If a deal between the UK and EU cannot be reached:
38% support leaving the European Union without a deal, whereas 50% oppose. 67% of Conservative voters support this outcome but 74% of Labour voters oppose.
50% support delaying the UK leaving until an agreement can be reached, 37% oppose. 62% of Conservatives oppose this outcome and 75% of Labour voters support it.
56% support a General Election to elect a new parliament, 29% oppose. 87% of Labour voters and 71% of Lib Dems support this outcome but a majority of Conservatives (55%) oppose.
Understanding a no-deal Brexit
In the event of a no-deal Brexit, 40% of the public think that they understand what will happen ‘very well’ or ‘fairly well’ compared to 54% that say ‘not well’ or ‘not well at all’.
79% of the public say that ‘the British public as a whole’ does not understand what will happen in the event of a no-deal Brexit, whilst clear majorities think the same about the UK government (57%) and ‘UK politicians as a whole’ (61%).

Edinburgh Festival artists refuse to be paid in sterling: Brexit uncertainty forces event organisers to use euros and dollars
| Brexit uncertainty has caused the organisers of the Edinburgh International Festival to resort to currency hedging as global artists are no longer willing to be paid in volatile sterling.
Fergus Linehan, director of the 72-year-old festival, said the UK’s looming exit from the EU had brought unprecedented exchange rate risk and made long-term planning increasingly difficult.
“No one wants to do deals in sterling anymore . . . so you’ve got to do all the arrangements in dollars and euros,” Mr Linehan told the Financial Times in an interview, ahead of the opening of the three-week festival on Friday.
