Ich sehe halt nicht, was weißrussische Truppen besser können sollten als russische. Und augenscheinlich ist die Motivation für diesen Krieg in Weißrussland noch geringer als in Russland.
Bleibt also wirklich nur Kräfte binden im Norden.

| | To summarize, several Russian telegram channels are warning that the battle in Lyman is at a critical point and that Ukraine is advancing from the north and southeast. Possible that the pocket collapses tonight or tomorrow, which would overshadow the annexation announcement.
It also sounds unlikely that Russia will be able to conduct a withdrawal without heavy losses.
Of course, Russia is already facing a manpower problem and a lack of reserves in the Donbas. If it loses the forces in the Lyman pocket, that could lead to further advances by Ukraine deeper into the Donbas.

as of 10 a.m. on September 30, 2022.
The "cauldron" around Liman is almost completely closed. The communication across the road to Torskoe is under enemy fire control. On the previous day the 503rd Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 19th Motorized Rifle Division of the 58th Combined Arms Army had been redeployed to the area. The cadres side by side with the mobilized troops had marched into the battle, trying to expand the "noose" tightened around Liman.
After the fall of Stavok it was possible to stop the enemy on the outskirts of the settlement. To the north of Liman, the front line runs along the line between the southern outskirts of Stavok and the northern outskirts of Zarechnoye.
To the north of Zarechnoye, Ukrainian DRGs calmly cross over to the other bank of the Zherebets River and operate near the highway to Svatovo.
To the south, the situation is worse: the RF Armed Forces have withdrawn from Yampol to Liman, and the settlement is in the gray zone. The situation in Drobyshevo is similar: the AFU managed to break through the RF Armed Forces' defensive lines and force the Russian troops to retreat into the city.
The RF Armed Forces continue to inflict fire on the advancing enemy units. But at this point the Liman defensive line has narrowed to the administrative boundaries of the city itself.
If urgent measures are not taken in the near future to unblock Liman and redeploy a substantial part of the reserves, the city along with its defenders will fall, and there will be nothing to stop the Ukrainian formations from developing their offensive deep into Russian territory. | |

Our forces left Drobyshevo and Yampol. Defenses are formed along the line of the dikes. Russian forces still control Krasny Liman, Stavka. Zarechnoye, Torskoye. The enemy keeps under fire control the road Kremenna-Torskoye. Reconnaissance patrols of the Kiev regime are spotted in the area of the road.
The situation is difficult.
The number of enemy units involved in the counterattack on Liman is about 6 thousand bayonets. | |

- a cauldron does not "seal" watertight, groups of soldiers WILL try to escape, some will make it BUT:
- regular and heavy reinforcements will not make it in
- supplies will run out very quickly
- wounded will not be evacuated
i.e. HELL will develop, and no bunkers in Lyman
This situation is henceforth only tenable for a VERY short time, we are talking "few days" at max.
Russian troops can either stay, surrender or die.
Escape will usually lead to the same outcome, and only rarely succeed.
The most interesting part on the Rybar map is not Lyman...
The successful Advance at Dibrova is the most relevant aspect.
With russia having a focus on reinforcing the "lost Position" at Lyman, Kremina can not be as well defended as it should be.
It opens the door to Severodonezk and it also covers the flank for a push from Proletars'ke to Svatove. That sounds really nice, but that sets a very different stage, because such an advance COULD, in the best of cases, happen to a desolate russian rout.
This would open the road to the real prize of this battle: Starobilsk, the last Railway directly from Russia supplying the northern #Donetsk #Donbass front.
If that falls, Russia with its lacking logistics will have to fall back to approximately all land between Kupyansk and Luhansk.
