| | WASHINGTON — The FBI this week arrested a former bureau supervisor in connection with the Jan. 6 riot who they said called for killing officers protecting the Capitol that day.
Authorities arrested Jared L. Wise in Oregon on Monday, court records show. An FBI affidavit says he worked as a special agent and a supervisory special agent at the FBI from 2004 until 2017.
It wasn’t immediately clear where Wise was employed at the time of the riot.
Wise was charged with entering and remaining in a restricted building; disorderly conduct in a restricted building; disorderly conduct with an intent to impede an orderly session of Congress; and unlawfully parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.

| | An unknown person attempted to send armed tactical teams to the Missoula home of Montana Rep. Zooey Zephyr hours after her girlfriend, Erin Reed, a prominent transgender activist and journalist, was the target of a SWATting attempt in Maryland.
Reed said Tuesday morning that somebody tried to send officers into her home, but because she had reached out to her local police department months ago anticipating such an event, officials called her first and then sent a patrol car to conduct a wellness check rather than sending in a heavily armed SWAT team.
On Twitter, Zephyr drew attention to her partner’s situation. Since both women have a high-profile platform as transgender Americans, they have become targets of right-wing radicals’ ire at a time when members of that community are under political attack nationwide.
Zephyr tweeted on Tuesday night that someone had also tried to send officers to her residence.
“Someone just attempted to SWAT me as well. I am fine,” she wrote.
“An individual reported an anonymous tip targeting my home in Missoula, and the police recognized that it was likely a hoax and called me.”
She wrote that she “will not be deterred” because “the fight for trans rights goes on.” | |

| | Two 10-year-old children were found working at a Louisville McDonald's restaurant - sometimes until 2 a.m. - the US Department of Labor said Tuesday.
The revelation was part of an investigation into the child labor law violations in the Southeast. The agency also found three franchisees that own more than 60 McDonald's locations in Kentucky, Indiana, Maryland and Ohio, "employed 305 children to work more than the legally permitted hours and perform tasks prohibited by law for young workers," the Labor Department said in a statement.
"Investigators from the department's Wage and Hour Division found two 10-year-old workers at a Louisville McDonald's restaurant among many violations of federal labor laws committed by three Kentucky McDonald's franchise operators," the release said. "Investigators also determined two 10-year-old children were employed -- but not paid -- and sometimes worked as late as 2 a.m."
Tiffanie Boyd, senior vice president and chief people officer at McDonald's USA, told CNN: "These reports are unacceptable, deeply troubling and run afoul of the high expectations we have for the entire McDonald's brand. [...] We are committed to ensuring our franchisees have the resources they need to foster safe workplaces for all employees and maintain compliance with all labor laws."
Franchisee Bauer Foods LLC confirmed to CNN that the two 10-year-olds allegedly employed were children of a night manager who were visiting their parent at work and were not approved by franchisee organization management to be in that part of the restaurant. | |

Es summiert sich halt einfach (und stupide?). Das sind im Grunde etwas über 5.5 Jahre pro Verdikt, im Schnitt.

Schuldig gesprochen wurde er bereits Ende Januar, das Strafmaß sollte am 3. Mai verkündet werden, wurde aber auf 24. Mai verschoben
Außerdem ist es ja nichts neues, dass kleinerer Killefit auch groß bestraft werden kann. Er hat z.B. einen Umschlag bei Nancy mitgehen lassen laut Wikipedia und egal was drin war, das gibt dann felony "theft of government property".

Und insbesondere sind (gerade auf Bundesebene) Strafen "concurrent", werden aber schlecht bis falsch in der Presse vermittelt, was dann beim Sprachensprung nicht besser wird.
