A current White House official is a significant person of interest in the investigation of possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, people familiar with the matter told the Washington Post.
[...]
Meanwhile, the New York Times reported that Trump told Russian officials at the White House that firing FBI Director James Comey relieved "great pressure" the president was facing from the ongoing probe.
"I just fired the head of the FBI. He was crazy, a real nut job," Trump said, according to the Times, which cited a document read to it by a U.S. official. "I faced great pressure because of Russia. That's taken off."

| President Donald Trump’s attorneys initially wanted him to submit an updated financial disclosure without certifying the information as true, according to correspondence with the Office of Government Ethics.
Attorney Sheri Dillon said she saw no need for Trump to sign his 2016 personal financial disclosure because he is filing voluntarily this year. But OGE director Walter Shaub said his office would only work with Dillon if she agreed to follow the typical process of having Trump make the certification.
The Associated Press obtained the letters under a Freedom of Information Act request. | |

Vielleicht besorgt sich Mueller jetzt Finanzunterlagen.

Das Manuskript von Trumps Rede in Saudi-Arabien kursiert:
| President Donald Trump will use his first visit to the Middle East to call for unity in the fight against radicalism in the Muslim world, casting the challenge as a “battle between good and evil” and urging Arab leaders to “drive out the terrorists from your places of worship,” according to a draft of the speech obtained by The Associated Press. | |
