Die Eisenhorn-Trilogie war mein Einstieg in die Lore, das sind sehr unterhaltsame Romane, die man schnell durch hat.
Ich hab in der Quarantäne ausserdem diese Reihe hier laufen lassen, die geht wirklich ziemlich in die Tiefe, aber ich hab grad eh nicht viel besseres zu tun:

Ich musste ja schon lachen als ich heute die erste reguläre Lieferung entgegen genommen und die sehr - sagen wir mal - deutsche Lösung des Versands von 6 Ausgaben gesehen habe

In meiner Erfahrung ist ein großer Pinsel eigentlich gar nicht so schlecht auch für kleine Details. Die kleinen trocknen für meinen Geschmack einfach zu schnell aus. Eine vernünftige Spitze ist da wichtiger.
Aber bei so kleinen Dingern. Puh.

Can I still use my army? You betcha. Your current army will still be usable in the new edition of Warhammer 40,000. Of course, as we mentioned above, there are loads of cool changes to the rules, so a whole raft of new tactical challenges and opportunities await!
So, a new 40K, eh? Thats right! This is an exciting time for Warhammer 40,000 fans. Theres a new edition on the way with updates and refinements to the core rules of the game, not to mention exciting developments in the ongoing narrative of the 41st Millennium. And, of course, loads of amazing new Citadel miniatures.
If youre already a fan, you have some awesome stuff to look forward to. If youre just taking your first steps into Warhammer 40,000, you picked a great time to start!
Why have you done another edition of the game? We are always looking to make our games the best they can be. The last edition of Warhammer 40,000 saw a new game, rebuilt from the ground up. This edition is an evolution of that revolutionary design, taking on board three years of player feedback and making this incarnation of the game the best edition yet. As well as that, weve taken the opportunity to explore more of the changing face of the galaxy and introduce some exciting developments to the narrative of Warhammer 40,000.
Whats changed in the rules? Loads! A new edition gives us a chance to look again at the core rules of Warhammer 40,000 and make changes to the underlying engine. Weve looked at every phase in the game, as well as missions, points and Stratagems. Youll see changes that affect every army and every game.

Has the setting or lore changed? The past three years have already seen some huge changes to the shape of the galaxy that have literally redrawn the map. This new edition will see some equally seismic developments as we explore more of the galaxy, and rising threats to the Imperium...
Will there be new models? Heck yes! So many cool new models, Necrons, in particular, are in for a good year and thats only the start.
Wait one second! Is that a new logo? Good spot! Aint it cool!? Were sorry if it invalidates your tattoo. On the other hand, congratulations! Now its vintage body art.
Will there be new codexes for this edition too? Yes, each of the factions in Warhammer 40,000 will be revisited in turn with codexes. This next wave of codexes will have additional content that features the new editions updated rules, such as the new Crusade system.
Are unit points going to change? Yes. A new edition gives us an opportunity to reset the balance of power across the whole game. Expect to see a lot of points changes in armies. Some for balance purposes and some to reflect the increased efficacy of units that become more powerful with the changes to core rules.
Whats this were hearing about Crusade? Were glad you asked, because were proper excited about it. Crusade is a new system for narrative play that will allow you to interact with your Warhammer 40,000 collection in a deeper, more meaningful way. If you love the lore of Warhammer 40,000, narrative in your games, campaigns, meaningful battles, and collecting an army to a theme youre going to love Crusade.

How can I get the rules? Were going to make it easy to get your hands on the new rules and start playing. The core rules for the game will be free, and youll have several options on how you get your hands on the full rulebook. For more information, sign up to our countdown newsletter.
What happens to my codexes? Good news! All your codexes still work! As do campaign expansions like the Vigilus series, Psychic Awakening and White Dwarf Supplements. What about the Psychic Awakening books? Again these all still work! The rules in these supplements were written with the new edition in mind, so you can continue to use the rules in them for your games.
What about my Forge World Index books? These will be changing. Look out for a new range of books to support the Warhammer 40,000 Forge World offer soon after the release of the new edition.website that will host loads of useful content. It is a website designed with new players in mind, but there will be resources there for all fans of 40K. Very soon there will be tutorial guides on how to play, introductions to the vast lore of the 41st Millennium and, of course, the new cinematic trailer for Warhammer 40,000.

Why should I not just stick with current Warhammer 40,000? You can play any edition you like! Knock yourself out. You can even join crazy Anthony in his lead miniatures only, Rogue Trader campaign. We do think, though, that this edition is the best yet. Aaaand, it might be easier to find an opponent this way.
Will the rules be updated through Chapter Approved? The new core rules of Warhammer 40,000 will be with us for a little while yet, but yes. With new units and books released all the time, we will still be looking at the game regularly with an eye to balance particularly in matched play and publishing updates in Chapter Approved.
I havent played 40K in a while Welcome back! The new Warhammer 40,000 is easy to learn, quick to play, and more accessible than ever with the tactical, strategic and narrative depth to reflect the incredibly rich setting of the 41st Millennium.
Whats in the new Boxed Game? Who said anything about a new Boxed Game? That sure would be exciting, though. If such a thing were actually in the works, it probably wouldnt be long before we found out more about it...
What happens to Dark Imperium? The Dark Imperium set will be retired pretty soon. If you want it, you dont have that long to grab one. Where will I be able to buy it? Youll be able to pick up your copy of the new Warhammer 40,000 from all the places you usually would online, in your local Warhammer store or from your local independent retailer.
Why are you doing this so soon after Psychic Awakening? As many of you picked up on, the Psychic Awakening has been building up to some major changes in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The new edition sees them come to pass, with the return of a long-forgotten evil and some big developments in the lore. From a rules perspective all of the Psychic Awakening books are fully compatible with the new edition (and were written with it in mind!)
What happens to Kill Team? Absolutely nothing. Its still there, and its still great. Kill Team is its own rules set, so it isnt affected by changes to the main Warhammer 40,000 game. However, with new editions come new models, and several of these will be infiltrating their way into Killzones in the near future (...and the far future). Will the core rules still be available for free? Yes. The Basic Rules Primer for the new edition will be available to download for free, just as with the current edition. For the new rules in full, youll want to get a copy of the new Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook, which includes updates for matched play and the new Crusade system for narrative play.
What languages will the new Warhammer 40,000 be launched in? The new Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook will be available in full in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese and Japanese. The core rules of the game will be available to download digitally for even more languages. Look out for the full list soon.
Are there still Non-Primaris Space Marines? Yes. Theyre right where you left them and they can still be used in the game, just as you can today.

Liest sich bisher alles ziemlich gut, mal sehen was da noch so schönes kommt.

Gibt es schon irgendwelche Einblicke in die zu erwartenden Regeländerungen oder weitere berichtenswerte Gerüchte? Ich muss zugeben, ich kenne W40K 8Ed jetzt nur aus zweiter Hand durch Battle Reports etc. aber das Kern-Regelset finde ich schon ziemlich gut (jetzt z.b. im Vergleich zu 30K oder den vorherigen Editionen oder Age of Sigmar). Das ganze Fein-Tuning, was Listenbau und kompetitives Spiel angeht, jetzt mal außen vor gelassen, da kenne ich mich so gar nicht aus.

Ein Maßstab, ein Zirkel mit Zollangaben, Kombi-Schablone für große und kleine Explosion, ein 45° Winkelhelfer zum Anlegen an Regimenter, ein Steckbrett zum Errechnen des Kampfergebnisses, Token für Angriff erklärt, Panik und Lebenspunktverlusten (jeweils mehr Token als im Bild zu sehen).

Dreifachpost!
Hatte mir vor geraumer Zeit mal so Acryltoken für SW:Legion gekauft (von Art of War Studios). Die kommen "unbemalt", d.h. weiße Farbe fehlt. Der Shop empfiehlt, dass man weiße Wachsmalstifte benutzt und das Wachs dann kräftig in den Token reibt und so die Rillen ausfüllt. Das geht einigermaßen gut, ist aber ein Arsch voll Arbeit.  Immerhin etwas, was ich derzeit während der langweiligen Home-Office-Skypecalls machen kann.
Falls jemand anderes auch den dummen Gedanken haben sollte, sich solche Tokens zuzulegen, dann hätte ich noch 11 von 12 weißen Wachsmalstiften (Klick) abzugeben. Kann ich gerne gegen Versand in einen Brief verpacken.
