| |
Impfung)
Haben die das wieder geändert. Deppen.

gefragt, was mit der Konstellation Zweitimpfung <3 Monate sei.
| |

Also 0G https://www.hessen.de/Handeln/Corona-in-Hessen/Gaststaetten-Hotels-und-Discos

| For years, many of the researchers now working on pancoronavirus vaccines had been focused on developing universal vaccines for influenza and for HIV, both of which are RNA viruses, as are SARS-CoV-2 and its cousins.
No universal flu or HIV vaccine has made it to market yet. However, the scientists say, betacoronaviruses aren’t as much of a moving target as influenza viruses and HIV, so they’re hopeful that a pancoronavirus vaccine will prove to be less challenging.
“Overall, flu is a more difficult problem simply because of the nature of the virus,” Memoli noted. Influenza viruses are segmented. They develop mutations in each segment, and then the segments recombine, he explained. “That makes it change more drastically.”
HIV is not only genetically diverse, because of its high rate of mutations and recombination, but it’s stealthy and can lie dormant inside cells. “It’s a really daunting virus,” Saunders said.
The main goal of a pancoronavirus vaccine is to prevent infected individuals from dying, Memoli said. Even better, such a vaccine could keep them out of the hospital and shorten the period during which they could infect others.
“We’re not trying to create a vaccine that stops you from getting infected with every coronavirus on earth forever,” Memoli said. “We’re trying to help your immune system. We’re trying to give you time to recover. There’s a heck of a lot we don’t know about coronaviruses. These viruses are predictably unpredictable.”

| A series of recently published preclinical study results show that the Spike Ferritin Nanoparticle (SpFN) COVID-19 vaccine developed by researchers at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) not only elicits a potent immune response but may also provide broad protection against SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern as well as other coronaviruses.
Scientists in WRAIR’s Emerging Infectious Diseases Branch (EIDB) developed the SpFN nanoparticle vaccine, based on a ferritin platform, as part of a forward-thinking “pan-SARS” strategy that aims to address the current pandemic and acts as a first line of defense against variants of concern and similar viruses that could emerge in the future.
“The accelerating emergence of human coronaviruses throughout the past two decades and the rise of SARS-CoV-2 variants, including most recently Omicron, underscore the continued need for next-generation preemptive vaccines that confer broad protection against coronavirus diseases,” said Dr. Kayvon Modjarrad, Director of the Emerging Infectious Diseases Branch at WRAIR, co-inventor of the vaccine and the U.S. Army lead for SpFN. “Our strategy has been to develop a ‘pan-coronavirus’ vaccine technology that could potentially offer safe, effective and durable protection against multiple coronavirus strains and species.”
Pre-clinical studies published today in Science Translational Medicine indicate that the SpFN vaccine protects non-human primates from disease caused by the original strain of SARS-CoV-2 and induces highly potent and broadly neutralizing antibody responses against major SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern including the SARS-CoV-1 virus that emerged in 2002.
SpFN entered Phase 1 human trials in April 2021. Early analyses, expected to conclude this month, will provide insights into whether SpFN’s potency and breadth, as demonstrated in preclinical trials, will carry over into humans. The data will also allow researchers to compare SpFN’s immune profile to that of other COVID-19 vaccines already authorized for emergency use.
“This vaccine stands out in the COVID-19 vaccine landscape,” Modjarrad said. “The repetitive and ordered display of the coronavirus spike protein on a multi-faced nanoparticle may stimulate immunity in such a way as to translate into significantly broader protection.”

| The emergence of SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern (VOC) requires adequate coverage of vaccine protection. We evaluated whether a SARS-CoV-2 spike ferritin nanoparticle vaccine (SpFN), adjuvanted with the Army Liposomal Formulation QS21 (ALFQ), conferred protection against the Alpha (B.1.1.7), and Beta (B.1.351) VOCs in Syrian golden hamsters. SpFN-ALFQ was administered as either single or double-vaccination (0 and 4 week) regimens, using a high (10 μg) or low (0.2 μg) dose. Animals were intranasally challenged at week 11. Binding antibody responses were comparable between high- and low-dose groups. Neutralizing antibody titers were equivalent against WA1, B.1.1.7, and B.1.351 variants following two high dose vaccinations. Dose-dependent SpFN-ALFQ vaccination protected against SARS-CoV-2-induced disease and viral replication following intranasal B.1.1.7 or B.1.351 challenge, as evidenced by reduced weight loss, lung pathology, and lung and nasal turbinate viral burden. These data support the development of SpFN-ALFQ as a broadly protective, next-generation SARS-CoV-2 vaccine. | |

| Calavi warned that fully relying on the fourth dose might not be the best option to mitigate the Omicron wave. “While use of additional boosters can be part of contingency plans, repeated vaccinations within short intervals would not represent a sustainable long-term strategy,” he said.
Furthermore, he said, Omicron could spur a “natural immunity” that, when combined with vaccination efforts, could help lead COVID-19 out of the pandemic phase.
“With the increase of immunity in population — and with Omicron, there will be a lot of natural immunity taking place on top of vaccination — we will be fast moving towards a scenario that will be closer to endemicity,” Calavi said.

E4: "Fatigue" ab 29:00 Definitiv eher emotionale Erschöpfung/Auslaugung gemeint.
